When you get off your ship in Reykjavik, hop on another boat to start your exciting Icelandic shore excursion. Take a whale-watching cruise on Faxafloi Bay and keep your eye out for one of the area's giant locals. The bay is home to a variety of marine life like minke whales, humpback whales, harbor porpoises and White-beaked dolphins –they’re all common sights on this shore excursion. The local bird life is also diverse; watch out for puffins, Arctic terns, gannets and gulls.
After your whale-watching adventure, you'll be transported to Iceland’s famous Blue Lagoon for some well-earned relaxation. There are many recreational options to choose from at the lagoon, such as walking in the spectacular surroundings, bathing in the milky, blue-green water, relaxing in a geothermal steam bath or releasing the stress from your shoulders under a Blue Lagoon waterfall. For a truly wonderful experience, indulge in an outdoor massage or spa treatment.
The amount of time you spend at Blue Lagoon varies; choose to leave at one of three times to be transferred back to the cruise port.

FAB, FAB, FAB! A real must.
This trour was a major highlight of our 14-day cruise. It was a true adventure being out in a boat on the chilly Icelandic seas, but we were protected by our weatherproof jumpsuits provided on board. We didn't see whales but spotted porpoises and dolphins. The blue lagoon was another breath taking adventure although our ship departure time prevented us from a longer visit. I'd recommend this tour to anyone looking for a memorable time in Iceland.
